Two of Formula 1's leading figures, supremo Bernie Ecclestone and Renault boss Flavio Briatore, have been linked to separate takeover bids at two of England's football clubs.

Ecclestone admitted on Saturday that he is interested in buying Premier League club Arsenal, while Briatore has reportedly held talks with fellow London side Queen's Park Rangers about taking control of the struggling Championship outfit.
